   Unbeknownst to Bowser and Kamek, the Mario Bros, Yoshi, and Flara managed to escape when the Koopa Cruiser was crashing down to Joke’s End. However, the heroes are seemingly separated while each one of them was escaping one by one and not together, save for Flara who was in the other room and got out. A half hour later, Yoshi, who landed on the snow head first, gained consciousness and pulled himself out of the deep snow. He rubbed his head to relieve the pain a bit, looking around if any of his friends were around, but much to his dismay, it seems like they didn’t land somewhere nearby his area. Yoshi panics and shivers due to the cold. He wanders around, thinking of what to do without the brothers and Flara around. “Guys… guys!”, a familiar voice is heard echoing through the only path exiting the area. The voice is Flara’s, Yoshi thought to himself, so Yoshi followed where her voice is coming from. Though at one point following it, Yoshi passed by what looked like blue, jelly-like slime. Out of curiosity, Yoshi pokes it. Much to his surprise, it’s not even frozen, it’s like as if it’s been there recently. “Anyone around here?! Yoshi?!”, Flara’s voice continues to echo, reminding Yoshi on what he was doing before.

   Yoshi arrived in a vast room, with many statues of a strange looking one eyed creature, mostly buried in snow. “Y-yoshi!”, Flara said, who was stuck in the deep snow across Yoshi. Yoshi ran toward her and pulls her out. Flara breathed deeply in relief, “Thanks Yoshi…”. When Flara moved her tail she felt pain, in which Flara remembered her tail getting hit by the edge of the window she was escaping through at the Koopa Cruiser, “My tail… I can’t fly for now… Sorry Yoshi, I guess we can’t travel easily. But even then, it’s hard to navigate this place as I never recognize this area before”. Yoshi was curious of what she was talking about, in which Flara saw his curiosity through his expression, “If you haven’t remembered, I’ve been in this place before and visited it time to time. It’s also the place of the portal which I came from. And like I said before, I never been in this area before, so I guess we had to cooperate to find Mario and Luigi. Yoshi is motivated to find the brothers and nodded in agreement. Though, Yoshi looked down at Flara’s body, with her belly, legs, and feet bare on such cold temperatures and was about to tell her to ride on his back, but once again Flara explained more, “Oh yes, I haven’t told you guys yet, I can warm myself up, I happen to copy the powers of what many call the Fire Flower, thus I’m not co-“, Flara then interrupted by Yoshi, who immediately hugs her body for warmth. Flara sighed, “Oh Yoshi. Well, I won’t mind, all I’m concerned is finding Mario and Luigi”. Flara then walks ahead on another path that the room leads, with Yoshi still clinging on her. However, while finding their way to the brothers, the same slime that Yoshi found is following them.

  They found a stair case, ascending from the deep snow, “This has to be the exit”. Flara and Yoshi, who now is warm enough to fight off the coldness, continue their mission to find the brothers. However, more of the same blue slime continues to follow them in a huddled group. As they continue to move along the path, Flara stepped on a seemingly inanimated but same slime Yoshi found, “Oh! Slime!”. Flara then managed to pull her foot out and unwittingly stepped on another one, “This seems like sticky gelatin”, Flara then keeps pulling her feet up and back down the “puddles” of the gelatinous slime. Yoshi sees a nearby flame in one of the statues’ mouths and swallows the fire, spitting fire on the slime, melting them into liquid. Upon doing this, Yoshi and Flara heard small animal-like screams while the slime is melting away. Flara was freaked out by this, but decides to forget it and went into a stare of relief, “Thanks Yoshi”. Flara smiled and pets Yoshi on the head, “Come on, we must find the others, we’re outside of the mountain”. The two continued, with the slime still on pursuit, one of them growing a yellow reptile-like eye from its center.
