Chapter 3
The Sisters and a Woman

  The sun sets, the place becomes a bit quieter. The two sisters, Lawana and Tallulah, are in the middle of a tropical forest, lying down unconscious. Just then, a shadowy figure in armor approaches them and carries them off somewhere. Later, Lawana woke up sitting on a couch, finding herself indoors. Lawana remembered the attack, and wondered who she got here. She realized her clothes are dirty, and much to her shock, her feet are completely dirty with her footwear missing. Lawana traveled around the house, going to the kitchen and living room. She quickly changed her mind about looking around this place and went back to the couch, since she sees that this place is pretty much like the usual houses she sees every day. Lawana gets bored and lies down. She wondered where Net is and begins to worry what happened to him. Remembering that he’s a fetishist, along with out of boredom, she wiggles her toes, always knowing whenever she does that it arouses Net, “in a way” in which Lawana herself puts in those words. “Nice to see you’re okay, huh?”, a woman said, approaching from the hallway. She’s an odd looking woman to Lawana, wearing a purple dress and that she has red and blue eyes. “She’s a nice woman sis”, Tallulah said, coming from the same hallway.

  “Tallulah!”, said Lawana in relief and hugs her, “So glad you’re okay”. “Th-thank you”, said Lawana to the woman, “So… you are?”. “Call me Arika”, said the woman, “I happen to live in this very place, of course. And you?”. “Well, this is Tallulah, which you probably know already, and I’m Lawana. Nice, um, to meet you Ms. Arika”, Lawana said. “Nice to meet you to”, Lawana said and smiled. Lawana remembered the attack on the blimp, then immediately asking Arika about it, “Say Arika, have you seen those flying creatures recently? They look like human-sized birds, you can laugh at it if you don’t believe me, or think I’m crazy”. “Well, actually, I always see those creatures almost every day”, said Arika, “They are known as Clawstrix, they are owl-like creatures that inhabit this place”. “Guess that’s why we never saw those everyday”, said Lawana, “Say, they attacked us during a blimp ride, in which we ended being in this very place”. “I’m aware of that”, said Arika, “They seem to attack many small aircrafts since a few months ago”. “Those creatures sound horrible”, said Tallulah, “Will they come here and attack us?”. “Don’t worry, they don’t really attack others who live here”, said Arika, “You’re safe here”. Arika rubs her head, comforting Tallulah a bit like an innocent animal. Lawana finds it funny, but to her she sees this normal as she’s only a kid. Lawana also finds Arika a caring woman. “Hm, say, while you’re here, can I tell you a story of a great hero I know?”, Arika asked. “Well…”, Lawana said, “I really got nothing to do so I guess, just to kill time”. “I wanna hear about him!”, Tallulah shouted in excitement. “All righty then”, Arika said, smiling. “This is the story about a great swordsman of Paraphillia:

  No, he’s not really swordsman, he’s referred as a ‘shieldman’. He has light but thick armor, making him durable and agile at the same time. He carries what he refers as fist shields, so he’s able to punch with them. He’s quite strong, so he’s a powerful guy. He did fought off Clawstrix, who try to kill him but failed to do so. Well, that’s all I can tell you about him”.

  “He sounds so cool!”, said Tallulah in awe, “I wish he’s here to protect us just in case and I can also see him in person”. “Now now, some miracles can’t happen when needed”, said Arika, “Now, it is getting a little late. You can sleep here for now. I’ll just be in my bedroom, so good night!”. “Why couldn’t we sleep at the same room?”, said Lawana. “Well…”, Arika paused for a moment. “Yes?”. “There’s only one room so… yeah, I’ll be going now”. Arika continues to walk away to upstairs. Lawana and Tallulah just gazed at the way she went, a bit confused and wondered about her reason. The two shrugged it off and decided to go to bed. At noon, Arika woke up and opened her window, “I’ll be doing some work you two”, said Arika as she pulls out steel boots from under her bed.
