An Invitation

  A few hours later near noon, a knock on the door has been heard, “Hello. Hello! Is there a guy named Aero here?”, yelled a voice. “Aero? Huh, strange that someone else knew him around here, other than the other policemen I talked to but just briefly”, said Vernon, “Hey Aero, it’s for you!”. Aero, who was watching over Nemea again, opened the door. Seeing a worker of the apartment with a letter, “Here you go, it’s for you”, said the worker as he then left. Aero and Vernon is very confused about the letter, the address is what got their attention. “Tranova”, Vernon said, “Isn’t that the area that its bridge was closed days ago?”. “I got a letter, sent to me? I only have been here for a few days and someone else knew me, who also lived in an area that I haven’t went yet”, Aero said, “I saw the news that the bridge is now opened, but how can someone from that far knew me already?”. “Never mind the questions Aero”, said Vernon, “What does the letter say?”. Aero opened the letter, reading:

  “Dear Aero,

                    Hello, my name is Zuni Bersek. I am inviting many people, including you, to my nightclub, Raving Styx. It’ll be a great time, especially if I meet you in person. To be honest, I did overhear and also saw you out in the streets, so sorry if I sounded like a creepy stalker. By the way, you do look very cute from a distance, maybe more if I see you closer. I just had to write that, sorry. Be there at 8 o’clock.

   “Zuni Bersek? I know her”, Vernon said, “She’s the famous owner of said nightclub, Raving Styx. A lot of men really love her for her appearance and personality too. She’s actually famous in Tranova. Heh, looks like you got lucky there pal”. Aero blushed a little, “Well, it is nice to see someone like me in a way, you know. Though, should we still go there? I did went to a nightclub back at Atlantic City a few times, though being invited there felt different”. “Well, let’s go!”, said Vernon excited, “It’s something that I should’ve thought of for being here for a few days. We should go there to celebrate your visiting here”. “Hm, okay then it’s settled. We’ll go there”, said Aero, “though, what do we do with Nemea? We can’t just leave her there and go on a rampage again. Then again, it doesn’t seem like a good idea to bring her there too”. “Vernon laughed a little, “Don’t worry, I thought of something to stop her from doing that. Trust me, it won’t harm her”. Aero seemed a little skeptical of what Vernon’s up to, but shrugged his shoulders and just went with what Vernon said. Many hours later, near night time, the three dressed up in their clothes for the nightclub, all being identical. “Hey, uh… Vernon. You said they’re yours, right? They look pretty neat actually”, said Aero. “Thanks, those are my spare clothes”, Vernon explained, “Also, Nemea does look funny in them, being a girl in my clothes”. Nemea felt embarrassed seeing what she’s wearing, but also smiled too, seeing that she does look funny. “Alright, we’re all set. Now follow me”, said Vernon. He escorts the two to the apartment’s parking lot, in which Vernon points out a vehicle, “Take a gander at this! It’s my Wave Slasher! Can’t believe I’m saying this, but thanks Nemea for killing off the thugs that stole it”, Vernon laughed awkwardly, giving Aero and Nemea a awkward stare. “There’s room for three, come one!”, Vernon said as he went on the front and pats the empty space on the seat. The two proceed to ride on the Wave Slasher. Vernon turned on the Wave Slasher and controlled it, going reverse as if it simply slides across the ground. The three finally came out of the apartment, heading to the Tranova area.
