False Dragon-types
An Old Journal Log by Marga the Dragon Buster

  Dear Journal,

I’ve been a Dragon Buster ever since around my teen years. Eventually, I improved over the years. Though, I did lose to someone with a Haxorus and a few other Dragon trainers, so the training still goes on, of course. For a long time, I’ve received a special thing called a “Mega Ring”, which allows my Charizard to transform into something called a “Mega Evolved Pokemon”. Basically, it’s a Pokemon turned into another stronger form. It felt almost like you’re triumphant over your opponent, especially when the strong heat coming out of Mega Charizard shrouds the battlefield. Though, I did mention that Haxorus person, the said Pokemon actually defeated Mega Charizard. It just goes to show that even one of the most powerful Pokemon can still be defeated.

Now speaking of Dragon-types, they’re really fascinating creatures, coming from the daughter of a Dragon trainer. My mom was a Dragon Buster, it was interesting and a bit ironic, huh? Going to what I was going to talk about, I heard of something peculiar. I haven’t learned about a lot Mega Pokemon yet, but I heard some Pokemon can mega evolve and turn into a different type. I heard that Charizard can mega evolve into a Dragon type. I looked at my Pokedex, and that’s not true, he still remains as Fire and Flying Pokemon upon mega evolving. Though, I even heard Ampharos and Sceptile gain the Dragon-type upon mega evolving. My mind is boggled by that kind of information. If it were true, then it’s conflicting to a Dragon Buster such as me.

I call these Pokemon as “False Dragon-types”. I came up with that term because their evolution family is not naturally born a Dragon-type. They gain the Dragon-type upon mega evolving, but only for a temporary time, reverting back to their non-Dragon type selves. I wonder how us Dragon Busters would think about it, they might be part of the greatest Pokemon to have a lot of potential to be a Dragon Busting Pokemon, but still, they're might be a internal conflict in their mind. Should you still feel uncomfortable of using those Dragon types, or should you be fine with them because they’re not Dragon-type born to begin with and they’re going to turn back to their original selves anyway? The same kind of decisions and mind conflicts can go with battling “False Dragon-types”: Should you feel accomplished and proud because you defeated a Dragon-type, or would it feel like a normal, average win like many of the battles you won because, well, the Pokemon is not Dragon-type born to begin with? Well, maybe it’s up to you. I just confused my mind afterwards. Even though I brought up this topic, I’m still with the Mega Evolution I already have with me. To anyone who read this, hope you didn’t get confused by such a subject.
